Applied Atomics to provide clean, always-on nuclear power for USA BioEnergy’s Bon Wier Industrial Park in Newton County, Texas.

LP

Scottsdale, Arizona, Oct 14, 2025 – Applied Atomics and USA BioEnergy are excited to announce a strategic partnership that will accelerate industrial manufacturing and e-fuel production at the Bon Wier Industrial Park.

This partnership aligns with Texas’ pro-growth energy policies and the state’s incentives for advanced nuclear innovation. It follows USA BioEnergy’s recent announcement of a technology partnership with Johnson Matthey and Honeywell.

The 1,400-acre Industrial Park is poised to become an energy hub, with Applied Atomics’ initial construction of a 100-megawatt electric power plant, offering sufficient space for expansion up to 1 gigawatt of electric power.

“We’re honored to power this incredible development and to be in a state that understands energy leadership and industrial innovation. Co-locating firm, clean power is how we will unlock the next 1,000 years of advanced industry,” said Benjamin Kellie, CEO, Applied Atomics.

“Bringing reliable, low-carbon power onto the site is essential for scaling our vision. Applied Atomics approach strengthens our infrastructure and helps us to create significant quantities of green hydrogen that we will combine with biogenic CO₂ to produce ultra-low-carbon fuels at commercial scale,” said Nick Andrews, CEO, USA BioEnergy.

“We refer to the Bon Wier Industrial Park as Innovation Park; we made commitments to create jobs and spur investment in Bon Wier, and we have seen significant interest from data center developers interested in co-locating at the site,” said David Prom, Chairman, USA BioEnergy.

“Small advanced nuclear power is among the safest energy sources ever developed, designed with multiple layers of safety to ensure protection of the community and environment,” said Ronald J. Cochran, Newton County Judge.

Applied Atomics is the only vertically integrated nuclear power company above 100 MWe. We are unlocking the next 1,000 years of advanced industry through co-located nuclear fission power plants.

About Bon Wier Industrial Park

Bon Wier Industrial Park is rail-served and in an opportunity zone. It will have multiple behind-the-meter power solutions, which include nuclear, gas-to-power, bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) from sustainably sourced forest thinnings, geothermal, solar, and other renewable energy uses. It is anchored by the Texas Renewable Fuels, Advanced Fuels Facility.

About USA BioEnergy

About USA BioEnergy

USA BioEnergy is a renewable fuels development and integration group headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a project pipeline across the southern U.S. USA BioEnergy plans to create ultra-low carbon e-fuels, sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel, and renewable naphtha. These advanced fuels projects utilize BECCS as a net-negative energy source, powering our biorefineries and generating carbon credits equivalent to the amount of CO₂ sequestered.
